The woodland in Berget is one of the five farming areas on the farm Havrå. In ancient times, people on the farm have harvested resources from the different types of wood, and used them for different purposes. It is not always easy to see signs and traces of human interaction with what grows in a forest, if one does not know what to look for. If you want to learn how to "read" a forest, you will find that the forest is full of biological cultural heritage, genetic resources and actionable knowledge related to producing food and growing on local resources. Arne Vassenden from the museum, who is responsible for the restoration and care of this heavily snowshoed culture-dependent habitat, is the host on the trip.
