Tekstilindustrimuseet og veteranbåten Stord1 inviterer til ein sommarleg tur med fokus på berekraft, bading og fellesskap. På reisa til Salhus får du høyre om SB Swimwear sitt arbeid med norskprodusert badetøy laga av gjenbrukte materialar, og kvifor passform, kvalitet og miljø står sentralt i merket. De vil også få kjennskap til produkt produsert ved Salhus Tricotagefabrik. Det vil vere foredrag om badstu som sosial møteplass med samtale med lokale og eksterne aktører kl. 14.
Stord1 set ramma for opplevinga – ein historisk båt som framleis er i aktiv bruk og som speglar verdien av å ta vare på det som varer. Saman skaper vi ein dag der kysttradisjon, berekraft og badeglede står i sentrum.
Det blir presentasjon av SB Swimwear med salg av badetøy på båtreisa til Salhus og sal av produkt frå Salhus Tricotagefabrik, felles bading i Salhus med foredrag og samtalar etterpå. I Krone kafé får du kjøp lunsj som er laga med lokale råvarer.
Dei som har kjøpt billett til Stord1 er med i trekning av gåvekort i museumsbutikken.
Arrangementet er i samarbeid med Stord1, SB Swimwear, Lokalkontoret, Salhus badstulag og Salhus Vel.
Utstilling og kafé
I Galleri Salhus kan du oppleve utstillinga "der alt som er sant er funnet på" av John K. Raustein.
I Krone kafé får du heimelaga lokal mat laga på norske råvarer.
SB Swimwear
SB Swimwear er eit norsk badetøyskonsept med fokus på berekraft, passform og kvalitet. Bak merket står Synnøve Balbanian, som arbeider for å skape inkluderande og varige produkt med omtanke for både menneske og miljø.
Alle produkta blir laga i Noreg, og er produserte av brukte, øydelagde eller uønskte materialar som elles ville ha blitt kasta. Målet er å skape noko nytt utan å belaste miljøet gjennom nyproduksjon.
Med ønskje om at alle skal kjenne seg vel i badetøy, utviklar SB Swimwear plagg for både heilårsbadarar og for dei som berre tek seg ein dukkert i ny og ne.

Summer swim cruise
The Textile Industry Museum and the veteran ship Stord 1 invite you on a summery journey focused on sustainability, swimming, and community.
On the trip to Salhus, you will hear about SB Swimwear’s work with Norwegian-made swimwear produced from recycled materials, and why fit, quality, and environmental responsibility are central to the brand. You will also learn about products manufactured at Salhus Tricotagefabrik. At 14:00, there will be a talk on the sauna as a social meeting place, followed by a conversation with local and invited contributors.
Stord 1 sets the stage for the experience – a historic vessel still in active use, reflecting the value of preserving what lasts. Together, we create a day where coastal traditions, sustainability, and the joy of swimming are at the heart.
There will be a presentation by SB Swimwear, with the opportunity to purchase swimwear during the boat journey to Salhus, as well as products from Salhus Tricotagefabrik. The day includes a shared swim in Salhus, followed by talks and conversations. At Krone Café, you can purchase lunch made from locally sourced ingredients.
SB Swimwear
SB Swimwear is a Norwegian swimwear concept focusing on sustainability, fit, and quality. The brand was founded by Synnøve Balbanian, who works to create inclusive, long-lasting products with care for both people and the environment.
All products are made in Norway, using used, damaged, or unwanted materials that would otherwise have been discarded. The goal is to create something new without adding environmental strain through new production.
With the aim that everyone should feel comfortable in their swimwear, SB Swimwear develops garments for both year-round swimmers and those who only take an occasional dip.

At Galleri Salhus, you can experience the exhibition “where everything that is true is invented” by John K. Raustein.
At Krone Café, you can enjoy homemade local food made from Norwegian ingredients.
