Design workshop at Salhus Tricotagefabrik

How can we translate our observations into design ideas? 

What are we inspired to create - structures, colours, shapes? Together, we will discuss our creative processes, the historical site and how to find inspiration. 

You are invited to focus either on designing a knitted sweater, for which guidance is available, or kick-start your design process without a fixed outcome. This workshop is for everyone, so come along whether you have experience or not. Materials for the designing will be provided.

•    13:00 Welcome
•    13:15 – 14:00 Guided individual observations of the former Salhus Tricotagefabrik
•    14:00 – 14:30 Break with the option to buy coffee and sweets at Kafe Krone
•    14:30 – 15:00 Sharing impressions
•    15:00 – 15:45 Translating observations into design ideas
•    15:45 – 16:00 Sharing emerging design ideas & closing

The event will be held in English by Hannah Tochtermann, who we are fortunate to have as an intern at Tekstilindustrimuseet this summer.
