Accessibility

The main exhibit at the museum is the Salhus Tricotagefabrik which spans a total of four floors (spooling loft, carding department, knitting loft, and sewing loft).

The spooling loft and carding depoartment are accessible for visitors on their own. The knitting loft and sewing loft are accessible only with a guide.
All floors are reachable by stairs or elevator from the café (the elevator measures 1.5 x 1.5 meters inside).

There are three steps from the café into the spooling loft.

Gallery Salhus is also accessible by stairs or elevator.

Please contact the reception to use the elevator.

The narrowest doorway in the museum is on the basement level (between the elevator and carding department), measuring 90 cm.

Main Entrance and Reception

There is step-free access to the museum's café, reception, cinema, and museum shop.

Parking

The museum has its own accessible parking space right outside the main entrance.

Toilet

There is an accessible toilet just inside the museum's main entrance. The doorway measures 93 cm.

Companions

Companions/helpers have free admission to the museum.

Service dogs are welcome at the museum.
